The Ann Arbor YMCA is committed to making a difference in the lives of children and their families in our community. By making a donation to the Strong Kids Campaign, you provide scholarship funds that make it possible for all children to enjoy our services and programs.  On behalf of the children, our volunteers and staff, thank you for your generosity! 

With Strong Kids funds, the YMCA is able to provide scholarships for childcare and afterschool programs, summer camps and youth sports programs.  Donations also support the Ann Arbor YMCA's community outreach programs, including Ypsilanti afterschool sports programs, Youth in Government, Chain of Plenty at the Delonis Center, and Youth Volunteer Corps.  To learn more about these programs, see our video below.

The following are examples of how your Strong Kids donations are used:

• Your gift of $100 Enables a child to attend a week of team sports taster camp, where he can play outdoors, stay active and learn the value of teamwork.
• Your gift of $250 Gives two teens a month of our Chain of Plenty program, where they develop job skills while preparing meals for homeless, elderly and low-income citizens in our community.
• Your gift of $500 Gives a working parent peace of mind, knowing that their preschooler is enjoying full-day childcare in our Early Child Care program.
• Your gift of $1000 Sends six teens to a three-day Youth in Government conference at the Michigan State Capital, where they learn government process by attending mock Senate/House hearings and lobbying for passage of their own bills.
• Program Underwriting Opportunities For those donors who wish to give at higher levels, program underwriting opportunities can give you (or your company) valuable recognition in the community while supporting vital Ann Arbor YMCA programs.
