CAMPS FOR TEENS

Teen Adventure Camp (Ages 12–16)

Are you looking for a summer filled with new experiences? Do you want to develop new skills? Teen Adventure Camp is ideal for the teen who is up for a challenge and wants to be on the move and meet new people. Activities may include canoeing,

rock climbing, swimming, camping, sailing, scuba diving and hiking. Field trips may include visits to the Detroit Tigers, Rolling Hills Water Park, Laser Tag, Ropes courses, Mini Golf, and more! Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30–4:30p.m.

Amusement Park Tour (Ages 12–16)

Our popular Session 8 Amusement Park Tour is back! This camp is a full weeklong trip of camping and exploring, while visiting Cedar Point, Geauga Lake, and Kings Island! There will be no regular Teen Adventure Camp during session 8, as our staff will be accompanying teens on the Amusement Park Tour. Schedule: Monday–Friday.

Counselor in Training Program (Ages 15–17)

Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a counselor? During sessions 4 and 5 your teen can find the answer to this question. Our two-week Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program takes teens through an intensive program that includes mentoring,

leadership development, and job training. This free program is for teens who are sincerely interested in learning more about YMCA camp programs and gaining new skills. Due to limited space in this program, all potential CITs need to complete

our application process. Please contact Josh Humbel at (734) 661-8012 to find out how to apply. Returning CITs should contact Josh to arrange a camp placement.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30–4:30p.m. Free, by application only
